whether it was a wise choice or not varian had decided at this point nothing else could be taken from him. he supposed maybe his life . but that seemed like something hardly worth the effort of the guard to case.
so while he had to debate the choice for some time, him and Rudiger eventaully settled that they would rather sneak 'home' for even just a few minutes to check on his father than stay here and worry if things were somehow worse .
it was a tricky task. having to flee Airendale in a cargo ship and be certian the ship in question was heading to Corna . however he's a smart kid and managed to succeed nearly undected. then again he had to wonder how many people had been set aside to make sure he didnt return. seemed like a waste of resources.
adjusting his posture , pinned in the lower cargo area , he manages after what is likely several days - to sneak up stairs and see if they've landed . doing so proved regrettable , as that had in fact been the case.
Rudiger had his tail wrapped around the young alchemist as he slide around , trying to avoid dectiction of guards who appeared to be unaware of his existance.
in fact he managed to slip off the ship unnoticed only to be noticed a couple of moments later by a certain horse . which - although their interactions were limited - it was clear by the sudden approach toward him in a frustrated gallop that Varian's best choice of action would be to run as fast as he could out of the capital .
it took some skill and snagging someones cloak off a drying line but he does exit the capital . ending up in the forest near a small cabin he'd called home for just a little while previous to his exile.
letting out an exhausted breath and dropping against an ash tree, he glances up toward the slightly visible sky. the green of the leafs almost like a sort of ratty blanket separating him from the beuaty of the day and fully experiencing the first natural weather warmth in a long time. it isnt much, but at least good enough .

It was raining - and as such, Sebastian was actually outside for once. He'd made his way out onto the pier overlooking the ocean. He stood there in comfortable silence as the storm rolled in. For the most part, it really wasn't that severe - though the wind did make it seem worse than it actually was.
That didn't stop Sebastian though - one of the only times he feels comfortable coming outside is when it rains. Rain makes people go away- it gives him a chance to get some fresh air without having to socialize. So here he is....
